School and Forum Profile  

Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications (XUPT), co-sponsored by the People’s Government of Shaanxi Province and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is located in the cultural district of the southern suburbs of Xi’an,a national famous historic city. It is a polytechnic university focusing on engineering and the specialization of information science technology and integrating the disciplines of engineering, management, science, economics, the humanities, law, and art. It is a Shaanxi high-level university implementing“Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program” by the Ministry of Education. The school vigorously implements the strategy of Talents Enhancing School and offers favorable platforms and preferential treatments for introducing the outstanding talents at home and abroad.  

This forum provide the platform forthe academic researches and exchangeon the international frontier science and the hot research fields in order to deepen mutual cooperation and trust, and invite domestic and overseas high-level talents who cut a figure in academia and possess strong innovation ability as well as development potentialto join in XUPT.

　　After the qualification examination, the invitation letter will be sent to the shortlisted applicants prior to September 10^th , 2018. Please send the receipt to give a confirmation within three days after receiving the invitation letter.  

Forum Support　  

The XUPT will provide free accommodation and meals during the forum. On receipt of XUPT formal invitation, invited scholars should purchase air tickets（ECONOMY CLASS）. Travel costs will be reimbursed after XUPT registration. The journey invoices of air tickets or tickets of other means of transportation are needed to offer. Transfers from and to the railway station or the airport will also be arranged during the forum.

Talents Recruitment  

●High-level Talents
I. Requirements  

The candidates of talents project at the national or provincial level;  

One who has published no less than 10 academic papers of Science and Engineering indexed by SCI (at least one paper in top journals in this field )  

One who has published no less than 3 academic papers of Humanities and Social Sciences on journals of SSCI, A & HCI or other top domestic journals.  

Talents with academic peer recognition and great potentials  

II. Treatments  

For the full-time high-level talents introduced, our school offers an apartment no less than 160 square meters for free, settling-in allowance at a time with 300,000 RMB to 1,500,000 RMB, research start-up fund and lab construction fund about 1,000,000 RMB to 15,000,000 RMB and the annual salary of 300,000 RMB to 1,500,000 RMB; the spouse’s employment and other preferential treatments.  

For the part-time high-level talents introduced, the school will offer favorable working and living conditions. Other specific treatments can be negotiable.  

●Excellent doctors at home and abroad  

I. Requirements  

Excellent doctors (post doctorate) under the age of 40 with a doctoral degree from a prestigious university at home and abroad , owning certain achievements or enormous potential in the related fields.  

II. Treatments  

For the talents introduced, based on their academic achievements, the school will provide a 130 square meters paid apartment or a one-time house purchase allowance for 450,000 to 550,000 RMB; science research fund for 30,000 to 100,000 RMB, setting-in allowance for 50,000 to 100,000 RMB, seventh level performance allowance of associate professor for 3 years and other preferential treatments.  

For exceptionally high-level doctoral graduates, treatments are negotiable according to the applicant’s academic achievement and comprehensive ability.
